Creative Jewelling & Life

My emotions do often look like this sea

I feel, that I’m in a powerful personal development at this time. I try to remember everything as needed to be done, but it is not easy. My mind fly and my emotions follow in same way. It is sometimes very annoying.

I would like to be better to keep my concentration and to strength this I practise yoga and meditation.

I think that I have too many things going on in one time, so I need to slow down to avoid stress, which again creates bad concentration. I like to have a lot of projects going on, but sometimes I do have too many. It is not easy to admit, that I don’t have the same strength as when I was younger.

By age we become more mature, mostly of us, and with this do also follow more security and trust both to life and to ourselves. We have got to learn, what we are good to do and found some limits, where we never will be no. one.

I think this is okay, even I find it difficult to accept, when I can see, that this I’m not go at.

As some of you know, I love to be creative and produce a lot for myself.

  1. Β It can be in the kitchen, where I prefer to bake my own bread and make our food from scratch, when I have the abundance
  2. Creating jewelry of many kinds
  3. Sew clothes and accessories
  4. Knitting, crochet and embroidery
  5. Paint pictures, where I have a lot to learn yet, but I love the process
  6. Work and learn new by help from my PC

I feel, that both my mind and my emotions are flying, I have so many things that I would like to do every day, but the day is not long enough and I don’t have either the needed energy or abundance for even half of my “wanted to make” projects. This result in some frustration, because I’m very good to write a list about, what I would like to have done, both for my house and to empty out in my taller, but of course also because I love to be creative.

Now I have started to make a list for a week or maybe for a month with what is needed to be done instead. Then I can make a mark, when I have done those things. This did help me a lot, so instead of feeling bad for what I did not do, I can just look at list and tell myself, that this list becomes shorter and shorter and feel satisfied for what is ended.

When I have something in my house, i really need to have done, I need not to go to my taller and start up anything, because I forget everything about time and place, when I work creative. So I use to do all the necessary things first and then I have free time for myself to do, what ever I feel for today.

So some days I create jewelry for many hours and make a collection of a kind and other times I create one jewelry that day. Up to my inspiration and abundance that day.

I think it is important to find a personal way for each of us to find out, how it is possible to use our days in the best way for us. I feel, that I have so many ideas, I would like to let out and try, but I need to end my old projects one by one first. Almost πŸ˜€

How do you plan your days, also to find time enough for doing what you really love to do? Speak out, maybe we can inspire each other and learn new. I would love to.

I hope you enjoyed reading. This prompt will continue in next weekend.

  1. I love this post, Irene. I like to have a mixture of planning and spontaneity, each day. One thing I do every day: I write a blog post! When I first started doing this, on 1/1/13, I never thought I would be able to write so much. Thanks for all that you write and share.

  2. Funny you should mention lists, I just decided today to start making lists because otherwise i get overwhelmed with what I’m trying to juggle in my head, then grind to a halt!

  3. I have many projects going at one time. The only time I feel bad is when I’m doing something I enjoy and neglecting the stuff I have to do to keep the house clean and everybody fed. I have no wonderful inspiring words on how I deal with the days not being long enough, I just do what I feel at the moment. (Most times I feel guilty about it, but I’m working on that issue)

  4. I would love to be able to make a schedule for myself to do the things I want and need to do, but my life still revolves so much around other people’s needs that a schedule is impossible. If I make one and break it, it will be more frustrating I think than not making one at all. As you say, too many things on the go. There’s a lot to be said for simplifying our lives.
Nice post, Irene. Thanks for participating. πŸ™‚

    • Thanks for your opinion Linda. With kids with special needs it is almost impossible for you. You can only do that in your rare free weekends and there you also need to relax and just be you πŸ™‚
Thank you too Linda for creating SoCS:-D

  5. Great post, the subject of the mindfulness class I taught this weeks was about finding some small joy in every day.

  6. I enjoyed reading this! I too try to use my time in the best way for me yet also struggle at times with narrowing down what I want to do. So, like you, I use lists and also enjoy that sense of accomplishment when I see what I did get to. Finding time, as you asked about, is still hard, but what has worked for me has been limiting mindless distractions like TV. Now, I only follow a select number of shows, and even then they will often sit for weeks on my DVR until I get around to watching them. It’s helped me get to the things I feel more fulfilled by, although that is still a daily challenge! Thanks for this thought-provoking SOCS post!

    • Thank you πŸ™‚
Thanks for sharing your experiences. I don’t own or look TV, but I use a lot of time at the blog by reading, writing and commenting. I’m not into passive intertainment like the TV are.

  7. A great post, Irene. So nice to learn more about you. Inspiration for me, to start creating lists! Lately, I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed. Jotting down what I need to get accomplished may help me though out the day! Thank you. πŸ™‚

  8. Thank you Irene for sharing the waves in your life.
As I wake up and ask myself, what do I look forward to most today?
When I sit down … before going to my blog (because we know that can soak up an hour or more!) I ask myself, what is my intention for today?
If I have many things on the go I ask, what is most important? and what can I finish today?
It doesn’t always go to plan, but it feels good to start the day of right πŸ™‚

  9. I have had similar experience. I find myself with an abundance of energy and ideas, but then find I have so much to do I can’t get anything done. Meditation is really helpful, though I am not very good at it and don’t practice like I should, it helps center me and brings me into balance. I think we just need to give ourselves time to do the many things we like or enjoy. Everything will get done in it’s own time.

  10. I think you and I must have been on the same wave length yesterday Irene writing about projects and things to do. πŸ™‚

  11. Hey there, I wrote a blog post called β€˜Getting things done! by inboxing your thoughts!’. It is a self-management course I went to and wrote up afterwards with all the materials and exercises. It was based on the book and concept of β€˜Getting things done’ by David Allen. And another post called ’10 ways to becoming a successful online entrepreneur’. Now you may not want to be in the online business, but as I mention in that post I use those 10 steps for anything I want to achieve. Whether it be finally sticking to my workout routine, starting a new project or in relation to my online business. They allow you to focus. Maybe those two can help you! πŸ™‚ Check them out!

    • Hi Josefine, thanks for your comment and constructive advices. I will check your posts later today.
I do know the steps for going on and it seems more easy for me to write about than to implement this in my own life.

  12. Your projects are an important part of who you are. You are creative and I think that expressing your creativity allows you to stay in a calm, good place. Lists are always a good thing-it feels so good to cross something off when it is done!

    • Thank you for your comment. I just need to find some good ways to do both the practical things and all the funny creative too. When I am creative, I live in my own little world and forget the world around me.
You are right, to give the cross, when something is done feels so good.
