I was inspired to create this post from a new friend in here, Melissa from The Aran Artisan, who wrote a post about Artichokes and how they enjoy this delicious vegetable. She has a wonderful blog, as you should visit. As she writes: Making a living by creating every aspect and ingredient of daily life
In the area where I have been living since September last year, we have a large field with artichokes, as I did photograph yesterday to show you today. The field are more than large and they have been cutting the flowers since I arrived and they continue to cut 1-2 times per week. I have never before seen artichokes in so large a field.
I hope that you enjoyed to see the field too
Irene

I’ve never seem artichokes growing before! Thank you for the nice pictures, Irene!
You are welcome Linda, I’m happy that you enjoyed 😀
As try as I might, I could never acquire the taste for artichokes, but for those that like them, enjoy. I salute you.
They need to be boiled in water or in the oven and melted butter for dipping and a little salt, then they are delicious 😀
Thanks for the tip 😀
You are welcome, maybe you like them in this way 😉
We’ll see 🙂
This is a first for me to see a field of artichokes.. so thank you for sharing.. I love this delicious veg.
You are welcome. I didn’t see a field like this before I went to Spain.
Just amazing! A bit of heaven….thanks for sharing and mentioning me, such an honour dear friend. Xx
You gave me the idea by your post, so thought you would like to see the field 😀
Yes, I like and am quite impressed by it. Someone really loves their artichokes, or sells it as their business?
They sell them as their business and you find them in mountains in the supermarket here.
Cool. I’ve never seen them growing like that.
I’m happy that you enjoyed to see 🙂
I’ve never seen artichokes growing either Irene – it’s a vegetable I’ve only ever had once and didn’t like, but I believe the way it’s prepared is what makes the difference!
You could try the recipe with butter and salt to see Andrea 😉
