As a regular reader of my blog, you might know, that last year 2019 was not one of my best years. The worst was, that I needed to send both of my old cats over the Rainbow Bridge, which I wrote about here
Just before the new year arrived, I received the most wonderful gift, my third Grandkid, as my daughter gave birth to. She sent me some photos, as I’m allowed to share with you

Now you might even better understand, why I wish to move to South Germany, where my daughter lives with her family. I wish to help her best possible and to be a Granny to my wonderful Granddaughters
Irene

Congratulations, Irene. What lovely babies. I don’t blame you a bit for wanting to move. I so want that to happen for you. Hugs and love, Irene. ❤
Thank you so very much, Colleen. Hugs and love for you too ❤
Congrats beautiful ❤😘
Thank you so very much 😀
And I am certain they can’t wait to be loved and spoiled by you!! I send you so many blessings, dear Irene, that you will be able to make the move soon! I also have been a bit absent and did not read about your cats…I am so very sorry. My little Mister (my best dog friend) is sitting on my lap as I write this to you. He holds such a very large piece of my heart.
Sending you all beautiful thoughts in this New Year…Irene. Peace my friend ❤
Thank you kindly, Lorrie. Wish you a beautiful new year too ❤
Congratulations! You have a beautiful family!😍
Thank you so very much, Sheila 😀
Congratulations! ❤
Thank you very much, Joey ❤
Being a grandmother is the best thing in the world I know 😊❤ my grandkids are 4 and almost 2 and wow are they my everything!! Beautiful pics btw ❤😀
Thank you and I agree. I’m looking so much forward to get closer to all three of mine. My son has a son, Milan at 2 years old. Elin will be 2 years old in March and now little Gaia too.
Awwww….beautiful names 😊❤ and no matter the distance your grandmom your always the heart of the family!!
I wish you all the luck!! Congrats again on such beautiful grandbabies 😊❤
You are right and I have been lucky to see both of my oldest Grandkids for real, even we live far away from each other. My son lives in Denmark and I live in Spain, so we don’t see each other so often, which I wish to change. My daughter visited me this summer and the year before, my son visited me, so I feel very grateful to have met both the “big” ones ❤
Wow that’s beautiful! Good luck with everything and bask In the glory of grand parenting its absolutely beautiful!! Spain beautiful country! ❤
Thank you. I have lived here for almost 7 1/2 year now and that is enough, now I wish to go on in a new way with my life.
Where were you born?
I was born in Denmark.
Beautiful! I live in the USA plan on traveling more when my kids get older! Have been to several parts of the east coast and midwest and have made it to Canada but some of my family where from Italy and I’d like to go someday
Wish you all good luck to visit Italy too. Where does your family come from in Italy?
Thank you! Naples and Capri.. My grandmother was born in the USA as well as my parents however my grandmother’s siblings came over to the USA from Italy I think back in the late 1930s early 1940s
Nice with such a family history. I only have visited Sardegna in Italy, maybe I will visit the others one day too.
Wow is it as beautiful as I imagine?
If you wish to see the beauty, you should visit in the spring, as everything will be beautiful and green. In the summer, it is much like mostly of Spain, everything is yellow and dry. The temperatures are also more comfortable in the Spring, as it can be really hot here, close to the same as Australia have had the last days and that is not nice.
Wow I will remember that! The closet thing to very hot climates i have experienced are living in Florida the temperatures where unbearable in the summer! Humidity was disgusting
Australia feel so bad for them for right now the fires…praying for them! Well it was so nice to talk to you hope to chat again soon ❤❤
You are welcome 😀
What great news for everyone. Another grandchild 😃👍
Thank you for sharing Irene.
Thank you Gary and yes, this made much up for last year, so I have something beautiful to remember too.

Congratulations, dear Irene! Awwww… These little girls must make you so proud! 🙂 They are absolutely adorable! And it is so lovely to see Claire too! She has been such a great help, and although I haven’t corresponded that much with her, she seems like such a kind, loving and generous woman… The apple sure doesn’t fall far from the tree 😉
All the best for your move to Germany, I hope the stars will align soon! *Big hugs*

Thank you very much for your kind comment 😀
Thanks for sharing and congratulations to the addition of a new grandchild!! I understand your desire to be close. That’s why we moved to LA….to be close to our middle daughter and her husband with their beautiful two children (3 yr old granddaughter and our 1 year old grandson! We spend so much time with them and just had them both over to our house for a sleep over as mom and dad were sick. Love it! Our other two daughters and husband live up in Seattle and whenever they start having children, our plans are to move up there for the same reason (our LA family plans on heading in that direction at some point also!). So from someone who has done that, I wish you the best in being able to do the same thing…it’s incredible! Best wishes to you and your family!
Thank you so much for your kind comment, Kirt 😀
It sounds like you have found a great way with your kids and grandkids.
Wish you all the best with your family too.
Congratulations, dear Irene! Baby Gaia is adorable, and so is her big sister Elin.
Thank you so much, Dolly 😀
I think so too.
Dear Irene, have you sent me tracking information? I don’t see it.
Yes, I did by your email address, as I received through PayPal, if I remember right through Yahoo? I can send it to you through PayPal too, if you wish me to?
Please check your spam filter, as it could end up there, when it is and unknown address for you.
You are right; I have neglected spam lately. Thank you so much!
You are welcome, Dolly. Often I receive emails going directly to my spam, so I check it daily now.
Unfortunately, I tend to get so much behind in my blogging communication that I sometimes forget,
Take it easy and I hear you.
I closed down receiving emails for each comment and new posts, as I got few years ago. My mailbox was totally overfilled. Now I read from the Reader directly and visit some blogs separately too. This helped me to control the inbox.
Perhaps I should do the same…
It helped me a lot, as I followed more than 700 blogs that time. Then you can imagine the inbox, when some people posted several times a day…
I follow many more than that, plus some personal communication.
Then it might be a good idea, as it isn’t possible to visit each post of so many bloggers, no matter how much we would like to. We need to remember to live a life beside blogging too.
In my case, it’s my eyes, which, as per my doctor, should not be over strained.
I do understand that. I do use hours in here daily, but sometimes I choose to do other things far away from my PC and then I feel, that it might be a good idea to get more away from the PC and remember to live too.
My safe haven is kitchen, as everybody knows. I can literally cook “with my eyes closed.”
Not many people know that, but I am not very mobile lately, so it’s either laptop or books, and both require eyes, as I don’t really like audiobooks. I am very visual.
It can be a struggle to find out, what to do, when you need to spare your eyes and in same time stay at home because of mobility. I have had struggles with walking, but after some practice with a physiotherapist it helped me. It was about a hip, as need a replacement, just not right now. So I do exercise daily to improve and be able to continue walking, which I really like.
Maybe you should use some audio books to spare your eyes.
Thank you for understanding, dear Irene. As I said, I am so much visual, rather than auditory, that audio books are not doing much for me. I do play piano, when I can sit for a while.
I do see, it is a challenge with the books, Dolly. Good that you can play piano sometimes. Do you have other interests, as are not so demanding for your eyes as reading is?
Unfortunately, all my interests require either vision, or mobility, or both. I have nothing to complain about, though. There is music to listen to and sometimes good films or concerts to watch. I refuse to spend the remainder of life as a vegetable.
Good to know, that you prefer to live, no matter the circumstances are challenging. Life needs to be better than as a vegetable, I agree.
I have had the thoughts about loosing vision, as the strong medications, as I got earlier, took down some of my vision. New glasses helped and after I stopped the medications, it is improving. That time I did think, what to do with life, if I lost vision totally. Difficult to answer.
Yes, I had watched my father losing vision gradually, due to the same disorder (it seems to be genetic), but he was 20 years older than I am now when it started. So I am trying to slow down the process. And I am a survivor – I live and enjoy life, no matter what!
Wish you all good luck with slowing the disorder down Dolly. There are many competent doctors today, maybe they are able to do more for you, than they were for your father back then.
I certainly hope so, and I thank you for your kind wishes, dear Irene!
I just sent to you through PayPal too.
Oh, you didn’t have to bother; it’s my oversight entirely.
Not a problem Dolly, as I had the paper from the post office beside me.
You are so sweet, dear Irene!
Thank you Dolly, you are much appreciated too.
You have a beautiful daughter and two beautiful grandchildren Irene, Congratulations.
Massive Hugs
Thank you so very much, David 😀

Congratulations ❤️
Thank you.
