Sunny Day in Spain

It is warm summer in Spain now. July and August are hot here. I use to walk early morning with Odin, before it gets to warm

Then our late walk in the evening, as I don’t want Odin to burn his paws. In the winter we use to walk more times, but that’s not possible now

Yesterday, we had another walk in the area, where Odin could have some freedom and run and just being free to smell everything, which he loves

Odin got an eye on a rabbit here, but he listened, when I told him not to hunt for it

Mostly here are yellow now, we don’t receive much rain here and not enough for the areas to stay green for more, than in the spring

In this rural area, the electricity cables are still in the air, which are common in rural areas in Spain

I asked Odin to stay calm, so I could get a nice photo, he agreed 😀

A walk in our new area


Odin

Odin enjoyed a bit of freedom

My last blog post is from the autumn last year, so thought it might be time with a little update today. Thank you for your kind patience

Nature 1

I moved to a new place last in December 2018, about 400 km more south in Spain and into a city in Murcia area

The photos as you see here are from our new area a little away from our place, until now the only place, where Odin can get a little freedom from the leash

We explore the area little by little and Odin enjoy those walks

Almond 1

Our Almond Trees are blooming now. I hope, they didn’t get the freezing, while here were very cold in the nights. If so, we will get less almonds this year

Blooming Almond Flowers. They are so beautiful and seen in several colors from pure white to heavy pink. They smell so good

Bougainvillea as are blooming much of the year, where I live in Spain

I don’t know these flowers, but they are beautiful and a wonderful sign, that the spring is on the way here too

Walk in Spain in April – 9 Photos


Almond tree 1

Today I will show you some photos from our daily walks here in our part of Spain. Here you see a blooming Almond Tree

It went very fast after the blooming of the Almond Trees, until the new almonds were visible

Borage 1

We have lots of Borage in natural areas, where no one take care any longer

I did grow Borage, while I lived in Denmark. I used the beautiful blue flowers in salad, they are eatable and taste good. More than that, they are also nutritious

I find these Borage so beautiful, they show clearly the spring is arrived here, even we have grey clouds at the sky today. I will not complain, we have had beautiful sunshine and warm weather for a while now and I do often enjoy my food outside in the midday

Wild flowers 1

There are many Wild Flowers in these areas and I love to see them blooming, all look so promising with hopes for long and sunny days

Sand Storm in Spain – 8 Photos


Sandstorm 1

We have had Sand Storm in Spain today, it comes from Africa and pass the Mediterranean Sea. This gives much dust all over here and if we have washed clothe and hanged this outside, we can start all over again. You can see the dust over the sea here, first I thought there were fire, but found out, it was Sand Storm instead, not so dangerous…

Morning in Spain – 8 Photos

While I was out in the nature with Odin, before we reached the beach in the morning, I saw this beautiful Sunrise and wished to share with you

It is Autumn/Fall here too and very cold in the nights. As you can see, the waves were big and there were many of them

Usually the Mediterranean Sea are more quiet and this beach a little protected because of, where it is. Only in very strong weather we see so much live here

Odin & I needed to jump for a big wave, as reached close to us at the beach

I love these waves and enjoy to stand and just watch the sea

Autumn Walk in Spain – 10 Photos

Autumn in Spain is not as colorful, as I have seen in many other places of our beautiful world. In the first photo there is a rabbit sitting very quiet, to avoid our attention. We don’t hurt any one, but I was surprised to be able to take a photo, before it decided to run and hide 🙂

In the middle you find a blooming Thyme, they are possible to find with flowers in different colors as white, pink and purple, which I see here in Spain

There are many huge rocks here and they have saved me from falling several times, when the soil has been wet after rain. I did fall one time, where I stepped at the soil and didn’t see, how wet it was, it was clean mud. These rocks are not polished in any way, why they support us, when we walk at them

Walk in Spain – 9 Photos

Odin & I were out at a walk in our area of Spain, just before all the rain began and the autumn showed up for serious. If you look close to this cactus, you can see, it is very dry after a long and dry summer here

This area is one of the most natural places, where we use to walk several times a week

Odin is very awake here. Often we meet rabbits, lizards or other interesting animals for Odin to follow. I try to stay awake to avoid Odin to get too close to any snake, because he use to be peaceful and I don’t think that he would be the first to attack

As you can see, much are rocks here and can be difficult to walk at, so good shoes are important

My life in Spain – 6 Photos

As you might know, I love to stay close to the beach no matter the weather and the autumn is also coming to Spain now. We have had rain, thunder and lightning for some days now with few moments of sunshine.

The Mediterranean Sea show more big waves now, as you can see in these photos

The sky use to be so wonderful blue, but not at the moment

Bølle in my garden, he is very difficult to photograph, why the photo is not perfect

Hvide is keeping an eye with the area from the tree, Bølle & Hvide are brothers and now more than 13 years old

odin

Odin would love to play with Hvide, but Hvide is the king here, which Odin knows and also respect. Hvide does never let Odin forget his status 🙂

I use a lot of time in the nature walking with Odin. We are walking all around our area and now, where the tourist season is ended, we have more space to visit the beach too, which both of us enjoy a lot

Bølle & Hvide are mostly staying either in the garden or in the house in daytime, as they wish to, when I’m at home. Otherwise they are indoor. They are also indoor in the night together with Odin and I.

Since Hvide’s last visit in a neighbor garden, where he came to fight with a younger and strong male cat, where he was damaged too, he had stayed in our own garden. I just hope, he will continue to do that. More safe for all of us.
