Walk in Spain – 9 Photos

Odin & I were out at a walk in our area of Spain, just before all the rain began and the autumn showed up for serious. If you look close to this cactus, you can see, it is very dry after a long and dry summer here

This area is one of the most natural places, where we use to walk several times a week

Odin is very awake here. Often we meet rabbits, lizards or other interesting animals for Odin to follow. I try to stay awake to avoid Odin to get too close to any snake, because he use to be peaceful and I don’t think that he would be the first to attack

As you can see, much are rocks here and can be difficult to walk at, so good shoes are important

Afternoon walk in sunshine in Spain – 13 Photos

We had a beautiful blue sky with some clouds, but it is winter time even the temperatures tell us something else

We are about 1,5 km away from the Mediterranean Sea at this walk and if you look in the middle of the photo, you can see the water

Here a big area, where there were Orange & Olive trees years ago. Today we find only small trees without fruits here. In the background you see mountains

Autumn Walk in Spain – 9 Photos

Odin do enjoy a break at our walk and keep an open eye with everything. Behind Odin you see Orange Trees, which I will show more of in our next Nature post. Much is close to harvest now and the olives are almost ended now. Few sorts need more time, but mostly are harvested

All the Olive Trees as you see here are wild, because no one take care of them any longer. I think there are many olives at the trees even without any care

Late walk in Spain yesterday – 20 Photos

Odin was kind to sit model for me, while I wished to show you, how big the Orange Trees are here

There are several plantages with Orange Trees in this area, where we walk in Spain. The once without fence, as we see here, are the sour Oranges, which are used for sour juice. I tried to taste one last year and I will not repeat that test this year…

In left side they have a growing kindergarten and in right side the older Orange Trees

Sometimes we meet a old shephard here walking with his many sheeps and dogs to help him. We haven’t met him for a while, but he is walking all day with the sheeps, so one day we will meet him again

This area is very well kept and there are many orange at the trees.

You can see the fence around in beton here. It was here I met the big snake in the Spring, as I think was a python. It was around 3 meters – 9,84 Ft and thick like an arm. I’m grateful for not having met this one again. With the many rabbits as we have here, it can survive without problems. Why do some people let out such an animal in our nature, where they don’t live natural? I don’t understand that.

This Olive tree is not kept, stand in a wild area, where no one take care. It is really huge and this year filled with olives

Here you see a big field with Artichokes. They are growing very well and will soon give fruit again

Odin is looking at some Lemon Trees in lines here, very well kept area

Just beside the Artichokes there are a wild and not kept area, where there are both Orange and Clementine Trees and both are very delicious, I took fruit down there in last harvest time. The fruits are not so big, because no one take care, but they are very tasteful

Happy Earth Day – 16 Photos


Odin

I will show you photos from our walk yesterday late afternoon in Spain. As you can see, Odin was very happy and also very patient with me, when I stopped to take a lot of photos. There were so many, that I decided to share them over several posts in the coming days

We need to remember to take care of our Earth and do our best to learn our kids to do the same. Otherwise there will not be so much for the coming generations to enjoy…..

Easter Walk 2 in Spain – 9 Photos

This was once a river, but now very dry

Clouds were on the way, which you can see in the photos down here

Last time we had this heavy rain and storm, there were a kind of river here. Now it is totally dry again

Another walk in our area in Spain – 5 photos

As you know, I love to walk in the nature and I’m lucky this is possible here where I live in Spain. Odin and I walk several times at day, and he enjoy to explore new areas.

Here I found both Thyme and Rosemary, so now I know where to pick up, when they are ready for harvest next time. I love to use a lot of spices in the food and even more, when I can find them wild here.

You can see both Olive Trees and Carob Trees, they are growing wild here, so I don’t expect them to have a lot of fruits. Both need good care to give fruits.

Another old Olive Tree and behind an old plantage of Oranges. There were only few oranges to find this year, so I search in other empty areas for oranges for my fresh pressed juice.
