Update at my life


Dear Reader

I’m home again after being at the hospital since the 8. of June. I came home late Monday and now I try to find a new rhythm in my new life

As many of you know, my daughter was so kind to update you about, what was going on with my health, for what I’m very grateful and huge thanks to my dear friend Amy for her kind help with posts, while I was away

I don’t have much energy or abundance yet, but I wish to let all of you know, that I feel very grateful for all your love, prayers and kind wishes for both my family and me

For describing my health simply, when I went into the hospital; I got an serious infection in my lungs and my other organs were close to shot down too. The doctors told me, that if I was coming the next day, I would have been death. There are much as I don’t remember from that time. My brain didn’t work well either

I went into ICU and in a respiratory machine, where I stayed for between 2-3 weeks in and out of coma. I was at ICU for 35 days. Then I went to Medical Department. After so long time just laying in a bed, my body didn’t function well. I needed to learn how to hold a pencil or other tools in my hands, how to walk etc. I do walk now by myself, just not very fast. I need to practice to train my muscles in the body, so my body will get strong again. This demands a lot of time, why I will not be much online in here

Still there are many things, as I’m not able to yet, fx. bowing myself down and come up again easily and stop shaking so much at my hands, so practice is needed, also so I will be able to create jewelry again

I do enjoy to be home again and together with my pets, as also became very happy to see me again after more than 8 weeks in the hospital. Now my real healing can go on in my own home and in my own speed. I enjoy the peace here, specially in the nights, where no one are disturbing

I thank you for your patience through all this long time. I will visit your blogs, when I feel the energy and abundance. I might not be commenting as much as usual, but I will show you, that I have been visiting by a Like

My life in Spain – 6 Photos

As you might know, I love to stay close to the beach no matter the weather and the autumn is also coming to Spain now. We have had rain, thunder and lightning for some days now with few moments of sunshine.

Hvide is keeping an eye with the area from the tree, Bølle & Hvide are brothers and now more than 13 years old

Odin would love to play with Hvide, but Hvide is the king here, which Odin knows and also respect. Hvide does never let Odin forget his status 🙂

I use a lot of time in the nature walking with Odin. We are walking all around our area and now, where the tourist season is ended, we have more space to visit the beach too, which both of us enjoy a lot

Bølle & Hvide are mostly staying either in the garden or in the house in daytime, as they wish to, when I’m at home. Otherwise they are indoor. They are also indoor in the night together with Odin and I.

Since Hvide’s last visit in a neighbor garden, where he came to fight with a younger and strong male cat, where he was damaged too, he had stayed in our own garden. I just hope, he will continue to do that. More safe for all of us.

SoCS badge 2015

I have been busy for a while and it absolutely not ended yet. As you may know, I would like to move closer to my daughter, as lives in Germany. It is never free to move and to move so far away, from Spain to Germany is expensive. I’m still saving for this movement, as I also have both of my old cats at now 12 years old and Odin at 2½ years old.

Just to find a new house here, where I am allowed to have both my cats and Odin is a challenge. In Germany it is even more difficult, because many don’t like to rent out to both foreigners and to people with pets.

My next challenge is, that I need to find a new house and that very soon. My contract here ends 31. of December this year and it is not possible to renew the contract, because the house is close to sold.

I do really wish to find a house in an area like this, close to both beach and nature areas, where I will be allowed to walk with Odin also. I love to end our walks by the beach. I need to find a house with garden, because my old cats are used to be able to get outdoor in daytime and they do really cry, when this is not possible. I will not let them down, they have been there for me in so many years and so many different life situations. They deserves to be able to get out in a garden. Most of all they enjoy just to watch the birds and the dragons in the garden. They don’t hunt so much any longer, mostly butterflies, but they love to stay outdoor and I wish to keep them safe in same time.

It would be different, if I had indoor cats, which I had as a kid living in a big city, where it was dangerous to live outdoor as a cat. Indoor cats are more easy to move with, they just demand a nice place with soft resting places and great view from the windows to follow life outdoor.

Many years ago I needed to move from a house to an apartment with my cat. She was used to live outdoor and this was not possible for a while. This went not good. I don’t wish to repeat this situation.

My cats deserves to live a good pensioner life in love and with access to a garden. Otherwise I will destroy their life quality and this I don’t wish to.

When we take cats and dogs into our household, we also need to think in their needs, which make the movings to a bigger challenge, but not impossible, it just takes more time to find the right place to live.

Expect – This post is part of SoCS


SoCS badge 2015

By life I have learned not to expect anything, just to be grateful, when humans behave in a kind way.

Earlier I did expect many things, such as mutual respect among humans or that all treated animals in a respectful way. This I don’t expect any longer, but I feel joy, when I see it is still happening.

By not expecting anything, I can only be positive surprised, when I see good acting by other humans.

Unfortunately many don’t know, what they say yes to, when they get an animal in their house, no matter it is a pet or other kind of animal. All animal kids are very cute and it is very easy to fall in love with them and wish to bring them to our home. If we have thought this through before acting, the animals can give us more unconditional love than we can find other places.

If a dog is on the wishing list as a pet, then there is several things to think about first like:

Can you afford to have a dog with both food, veterinary visits, vaccinations, spot-on, collars, leash, bowls, toys, bones, bed, blankets etc.? It is not cheap to have a dog

Who will be the responsible for feeding the dog? If only one are doing this, there are much better control, when and how much the dog will get to eat

Who will be the responsible for walking the dog? It is not enough to go out in the garden, even it is nice to have a garden, when you have animals. Dogs need to challenge their senses and to play with other dogs to be dog-social

Who will be responsible for the dog- training? The dog needs to learn to walk nice in a leash. It is not fun to walk a dog, while you are flying behind, because no one took the time to learn the dog, which you can not blaim the dog, if you didn’t use the needed time. Right here I see and have seen very bad behavior from humans, who think it is okay to hit, beat or kick the dog, when it doesn’t respond to your talking. It is never okay to hit a dog, but it is necessary to raise the dog, so it knows, how to behave in a good way

What are going to do with your dog, while you go on vacations? If you can’t bring the dog, then you need to find a good solution for what else to do, your dog can not stay home alone in your vacation. Here I have seen more bad behavior from humans who kill their dog or just leave it somewhere and don’t think more about that. This is not a good solution and if you can’t find a solution before you get the animal, don’t get the animal at all

Remember that animals are not toys, they are not for giving in the Christmas, they need peace, when they come to a new home to find themselves and learn you to know. If you wish to give an animal as a gift, then find another way.

If it is a dog, give the collar, leash, food bowls, books about dogs, dog bed etc. instead and talk about collecting the animal after the Christmas time, when there are peace in the house

If it is a cat, then you can give food bowls, books about cats, cat bed, toys, scratching tree etc. there are no need to get the cat, while there are no peace in the house, this will just scare the cat from beginning.

Cats need excactly the same security as the dogs for having a good forever home and humans, who will take good care of them in there life time, so please think, before you get a new family member

As I wrote in a post two days ago, I’m not at the top, I have Bronchitis and are very tired, why I haven’t been so much online the time. Neither out for long walks with Odin, but short can do it for a little while. I hope to get back as usual in short time.

Which great intentions is it possible to put into this post?

I’m still thinking about my future life and of course my pets. I haven’t found out, what to do with myself yet.

In some ways I appreciate the nice weather we are going to have now, except the freezing degrees as we are promissed monday night. There should be Spring now in Spain, no matter how I put it out here.

The Winters have never been my favorite and neither are they here. The houses are not well isolated against the cold, only against the warm and Spain is not warm in the Winter, but not as cold as where I come from or where many of other bloggers live f.x. Canada and North America.

I love the Spring here, not too warm and not too cold. The Summers can be pretty hot here. In my time here I experienced more than 45 degrees C. which is very hot. It is not possible to do anything else than try to stay cool inside. The Sun is burning very much from around 11 am and until 5 pm, which is many hours, where it is best to stay away from the Sun also caused our health to avoid skin cancer.

There are many beautiful places where it could be interesting to try to live, but I don’t wish to leave Europe. I have my family here and don’t see them too much even I’m not so far away. I can’t travel for vacation for myself. I don’t have anyone here, that I would trust to take good care of my pets in the meanwhile. It is also very expensive to travel.

I have always appreciated my home, why I also have had pets mostly of my life. When my kids were younger I choosed to have animals also for them to learn how to treat the pets with respect, which I find important. Specially to avoid accidents with bites etc.

I miss my family and wish I could see them much more than now, and I try to figure out, how that could be possible, when they also live in two different countries. So it would not do it all just by moving closer to them. I can only live in one place at time, even I could wish it different.

How do you handle your life, when the big questions come to your mind?

I walk by the beach, sit at the terrace and enjoy the warm from the Sun, meditate and try to figure out, what is the most important for me in my life.

Big questions demand time and thinking also to avoid to regret, no matter what I will do.
